Famous Question

What is the difference between both restaurants, located just next door to each other?

The original restaurant has been operating in its location in Key Largo for over 20 years. Encore opened in December of 2002, a gift shop next door transformed into a restaurant featuring many of the Fish House favorites, plus more of a selection of meat dishes, as well as a sushi menu. Many of our recipes on both menus are the original dishes from the time the original restaurant first opened its doors.

The ambience of The Fish House is Keys-ey, relaxed and nautical. You can transform yourself back in time to when the Keys was a little known stretch of islands. Encore boasts a more modern tropical and nautical flair to its décor, with a piano lounge and outdoor seating, in addition to its inside dining room area. Encore also features live music in the lounge on certain nights of the week.

Both restaurants feature a full liquor bar, home made soups, fresh fish, lobster, stone crab and shellfish. A children's menu is also available at both restaurants. The side dishes which accompany your meal at each restaurant are different. The original Fish House offers corn on the cob, coleslaw and steamed red potatoes, a staple at seafood restaurants in the U.S. Encore changes its accompaniments of rice or potato and vegetable selection daily.

Both restaurants accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, cash and U.S. travelers checks.
